About me

As a student interior designer, I have been able to work on a wide range of projects that have helped shape me into an all-round kind of designer. As a result, I now have the skills to branch off into a huge range of sectors within the design industry. Through my degree, I found that my interests began to fall within the wider urban context and 3D visualization aspects of design and as a result, I used my third year to begin really honing in my 3D modelling and texture rendering skills with software such as Sketchup and Blender. I used my final year project to demonstrate my development of modelling, texturing, detailing and appropriate design context to ensure that my work formed an effective solution to my chosen site.

I am now hoping to go on to study MA Urban Design in September at LJMU.

Throughout all of my projects I have aimed to look at the wider context of the site and end-user so that an appropriate and effective design solution can be proposed. This was the focus for my Honours Project, in which my chosen site had a limited historical context, but a rapidly growing cultural and economic development that was underappreciated by the current town's architecture and facilities. I chose to centre my work around the town's minority populations and existing green urban spaces so that current education and language barriers could be broken and appreciation for the wider town's environment solidified.
